Rome lights up with passion.

Passions, as we know, are contagious and the greater they are, the more one has the desire to share them with friends. This is how I met Nathan Myer, an “ambitious” American who lives in Naples, Florida, one of the richest places in the United States, whose name is a clear homage to the sunshine and beauty of the Bay of Naples.

To make Nathan’s life more exciting is his unbridled passion for motors and Italy. So, between a cocktail in some exclusive club and a Google ride he came up to my website. An unexpected message, a contact request, an experience to share. Our long-distance friendship started with a click.

When he told me about his incredible journey he would have made in May, starting right from Rome to land at the Monaco GP aboard a Super Rossa, he didn’t have to add anything else to convince me to participate as an experience teller in this exciting trip, because my only reaction was “WOW”.

Adrenalin Made in Italy.

May 22 was an unforgettable date not only for Nathan, but also for the many tourists and motor enthusiasts like me, who suddenly saw 68 luxurious Ferraris pass under their eyes, true jewels of “made in Italy” technology, ready to get off their pedestal to put on a show in front of the most famous arena in the world, the Colosseum.

Being there, in front of two great timeless icons, the Ferrari Brand and the Colosseum, was an indescribable emotion for Nathan:

Walking to my car, hearing the car engine starting, seeing the excited people all around me…. it was fantastic

The whole of Via degli Anibaldi was covered with Ferraris, with 136 modern gladiators from all over the globe, eager for challenge and competition. Among them was Nathan with his Ferrari F8 Spider, flaming red, with its powerful 720 horsepower engine: pure adrenaline, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.

The club of exclusive emotions.

When I asked Nathan to meet him to take some pictures of the racing cars and interview the various drivers and members of The Run To organization, he told me very clearly that it would be very difficult for safety reasons: a very armored tour, reserved for a few, because most of the attendees at the event were in fact “billionaires”.

To overcome this difficult barrier, I have used all the tools that a daring experience teller tries to unleash at the most critical moments: my international background, my aristocratic origin, my exclusive curriculum, my prestigious contacts … but no chance. I could only follow his journey by keeping a “safe distance” and sharing Nathan’s stories, as if I had been traveling with him.

From Rome to Montecarlo, passing through the exclusive Reschio Castle on the Tuscan border and leaving behind the suggestive sunsets of Portofino. A journey that I could only visualize with my imagination, but that Nathan was able to describe to me like this:

I was experiencing something that I had never experienced before, I had goosebumps from excitement throughout the journey.

The power of colors.

There are colors that can capture our attention and senses from the very first glance. Red is the strongest of all, because it expresses passion, power, determination, challenge, speed, dynamism. Values that we instinctively associate with Ferrari even if, as everyone knows, the color of the company is yellow, linked to the city of Modena since its origins.

Despite this necessary clarification, the “Ferrari Red”, as well as the “Valentino Red” or the “Titian Red”, have entered our collective imagination becoming iconic colors thanks to their extraordinary symbolic power.

Impossible not to remember the famous sentence from Enzo Ferrari

Give a child a sheet of paper, some colors and ask him to draw a car, he will surely make it red.

Experience Teller - Travel - Red fever - Ferrari

On the other hand, I too, who remained inside a bit of a child, continued to collect red racing cars. When I worked for Chevrolet, I chose a red Corvette among the various models because I wanted to experience the American dream.

For Nathan, on the other hand, red symbolically represents his emancipation from the rules and restrictions in which he grew up. Infact, coming from a Mennonite family and its conservative culture, very similar to the Amish one, the red color was simply not allowed.

Red is my favorite color and I love it. Red gives me energy and I like to feel different, in terms of clothing, personality and lifestyle.

This weekend I will support Ferrari.

There is little time for the start of the 2022 British GP and I am sure that the Ferrari Team will be able to give us great emotions on the track! For those who do not have Sky channel and will not be able to follow the entire competition, I have prepared a photographic and video tour of Nathan’s journey aboard the “red of our dreams” that you can see and comment on my Facebook and Instagram channels.

Are you REDy? it’s FRAday!
